Cactus Feeders has completed the purchase of three feedyards previously owned by Koch Beef Company of Wichita, Kans. The feedyards acquired are in Hale Center, Texas, and Ulysses and Syracuse, Kansas. According to Paul Engler, President and CEO of Cactus Feeders, this purchase brings the total one-time capacity of Cactus Feeders' custom feeding operations to more than 460,000 head of cattle. "The purchase of Koch Beef Company's three feedyards allows Cactus Feeders' customers to benefit from geographic diversification," said Engler. "We believe the High Plains area will remain the hub of the nation's cattle business far into the 21st century, and this acquisition demonstrates our committment to the future of cattle feeding. |
