A reception for more than 350 key foodservice decision makers was hosted to introduce them to value-added beef products. The reception was sponsored by the checkoff and allowed seven value-added beef companies to showcase their wares. "A number of new value-added beef and veal products are on the market," said Dr. Shalene McNeill, foodservice and nutrition manager for the Texas Beef Council. "In conjunction with the Texas Restaurant Association, we were able to bring all these products together in a three hour showcase for foodservice personnel." |
