Through the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Beef Industry Scholarship Program, the National Cattlemen's Foundation (NCF) and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) are offering $20,000 in scholarships to college students pursuing careers in the beef industry. A total of 16 students will each be awarded $1,250 in scholarship monies. One of the 16 recipients will be selected to receive the top prize of an all expense paid trip to the Cattle Industry Annual Convention and Trade Show in Phoenix, Jan 26-29, 2000. Students applying for the scholarship may pursue careers in agricultural education, com- munications, production, re-search or another area related to the beef industry. Applications must be postmarked by Nov. 29, 1999. Winners will be announced at the Cattle Industry Annual Convention, January 2000.
