The Texas Cattle Feeders Association named its new officers and directors for 2000 at the annual convention in November. Paul H. Hitch of Guymon, Okla. was elected chairman of the board; Jim B. Waterfield of Canadian, Tex., was chosen chairman-elect; and Paul F. Engler of Amarillo, Tex., was elected vice chairman. Cattle feeders elected to a one-year term on the board of directors were Ellison Carter, Paul H. Hitch, Barry Hosserand, Odis (Bo) Kizziar, Terry Scott, Charles T. Sellers, and E.W. Williams, Jr.The following directors will serve two year terms: David S. Delaney, Michael Engler, Jim Lowder, Don Oppliger, James M. Peters and Jim B. Waterfield. Elected to three-year terms were Tommy Bell, Paul Engler, Byron Gossett, Rex McCloy, Dan McWhorter, and John Rakestraw. Jim Schwertner and Bob Sims also serve as members of the board. Also at the convention, TCFA presented H-E-B Grocery Co. with the Beef Merchandising Award. The award recognizes companies that set the pace in innovative efforts to sell beef to consumers. H-E-B has received the award twice. |
