Intervet announced an agreement to purchase North American Bayer Animal Health Biologicals Business, based in Shawnee, Kansas. The move increases Intervet's existing U.S. business and significantly expands the company's U.S. vaccine portfolio. In addition to biological products, two sites will change hands as part of the agreement. Intervet will acquire a production facility in Worthington, Minnesota, and a research facility in De Soto, Kansas. The announcement marks the third major acquistion by Intervet in the animal health market in the past twelve months. |
