Superior Livestock Auction has expanded its services to include the Internet. "Our new online auctions with the implementation of competitive bidding meet the changing needs of our customers and compliments our satellite video auctions," says Jim Odle, General Manager for Superior Livestock Auction. Superior began the online auctions in December. Superior Internet auctions are conducted biweekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at www.superiorlivestock. com. Bidding begins at 10 a.m. CST and closes at 1 p.m. CST. Cattle being offered can be previewed one to four days prior to the auction. Superior Livestock also offers proxy bidding, where buyers can place a proxy, or maximum bid, and the computer will bid for him or her as the auction progresses. The system keeps the buyer "in" on the cattle until another bidder exceeds his bid or time runs out. |
