Meat Case Sales Jump with Checkoff Idea
Two years after 9,500 retail chains have implemented "Beef Made Easy," a meat case simplification program devised by the beef checkoff program, sales have increased 3.5 percent from the previous year. The program works with retail beef marketers to organize their meat case by cooking method. Color-coded stickers guide consumers to beef cuts that are prepared similarly in order to ease confusion about how to prepare different beef cuts.
