The Oklahoma Beef Industry Council (OBIC) has been allowed to do in-store samplings at four Oklahoma Wal-Marts. This is a first for the world-wide company. OBIC staff gave samples of Farmland's Ground and Browned Beef Crumbles. The product is available in original, mexican and italian styles. One store sold out of all three varieties before the sampling had ended. The manager said that it was a first for the store.

The OBIC also presented lean beef recipes and diet and health brochures to American Heart Association Walk participants in Norman, Oklahoma. The OBIC also sponsored a lean beef meal for the American Heart Association Heart Ball in Admore, Oklahoma. ©
