eMerge Interactive, Inc. announced it has installed their second VerifEYE Carcass Inspection System (CIS) in the Excel, Plainview, Texas, beef plant. The first system is located in Excel’s Schuyler, Nebraska, plant.
The VerifEYE CIS provides an automated inspection of each beef carcass, identifying areas of organic contamination, which can potentially harbor dangerous pathogens such as e. Coli 0157:H7, Salmonella, Campylobacter and others. The CIS provides automated inspection at line speeds of up to 450 carcasses per hour.
